Refund policy

Easen Living Return & Refund Policy

At Easen Living, we want you to feel confident ordering from us. This policy applies alongside your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”). Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot legally be limited.

1. Online order cooling-off period

If you purchased your product through our online store, you may cancel your purchase within 7 days after receiving the goods, where the cooling-off provisions of ECTA apply.

You do not need to provide a reason for cancelling during this period.

The product must be returned to us, and you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the product, unless the product is defective, damaged, incorrect, or another law requires us to cover the cost.

Once a valid cancellation has been processed, any payment due to you will be refunded in accordance with applicable South African law.

2. Change-of-mind returns after the cooling-off period

After the applicable statutory cooling-off period has expired, Easen Living does not automatically accept returns simply because you have changed your mind, ordered the incorrect size, or the product does not suit your personal preference.

We may nevertheless consider reasonable return requests on a case-by-case basis.

This does not affect your rights where the product is defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, materially different from what was advertised, or otherwise protected by law.

3. Please check your sink before ordering

The Stay-Dry Sink Guard requires suitable space along the front edge of the sink.

Customers are encouraged to check the product measurements and their sink setup before placing an order.

Where the correct product and size have been supplied exactly as ordered, incompatibility caused solely by incorrect measurements does not automatically entitle the customer to a return outside any applicable statutory return period.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

4. Defective, damaged or incorrect products

If your product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or does not meet the quality standards required by South African consumer law, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Under the CPA, qualifying defective goods may carry rights including repair, replacement, or refund.

Where South African law requires Easen Living to bear the cost of returning defective or incorrectly supplied goods, we will do so.

Please include your order number and, where reasonably possible, photographs or video showing the issue. This helps us assess and resolve the matter faster.

5. Six-month statutory warranty

Products supplied to consumers are subject to the implied warranty of quality contained in the CPA.

For six months from delivery, qualifying defective, unsafe, or failed goods may be returned in accordance with the CPA.

Where the statutory warranty applies, the consumer may have the right to choose between repair, replacement, or refund as provided by law.

Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, improper use, unauthorised modification, or damage caused by using the product contrary to supplied instructions are not treated as manufacturing defects, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Condition of change-of-mind returns

For a change-of-mind return that is not based on a defect or other statutory right, we may require the product to be returned in a reasonably resalable condition with its original packaging and included accessories, where applicable.

We reserve the right to reasonably assess the condition of returned goods where permitted by law.

These conditions do not remove any rights you may have regarding defective or non-compliant goods.

7. Return shipping

For eligible change-of-mind returns under the ECTA cooling-off period, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

For defective, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise legally returnable goods where the supplier is required to bear return costs, Easen Living will arrange or reimburse reasonable return shipping as required by law.

Please do not send a return before contacting us and receiving return instructions.

8. Refunds

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Bank and payment-provider processing times may cause additional delays after a refund has been issued.

Where ECTA requires a refund following the exercise of the statutory cooling-off right, the refund will be processed within the period required by law. ECTA currently provides for refund within 30 days of cancellation.

9. Delivery damage

If your parcel appears damaged when delivered, please photograph the parcel and product and contact us promptly.

Where possible, contacting us within 48 hours helps us investigate courier damage quickly. However, failure to report within 48 hours does not remove any statutory rights you may have.

11. Consumer rights

This policy must be read together with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, and any other applicable South African consumer legislation.

Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory right provided by South African law, the law will prevail.
